Three Sisters Waterfalls

Three Sisters Waterfalls Trail is a 3.5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Descanso, California that features a waterfall and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from October until April.

If you are interested in exploring the top waterfall be prepared to scale rocks and use ropes to lift yourself up. It’s not for the faint of heart but if you muster up the courage the views are well worth it!

The way in is quite pleasant and does not pose a challenge, take that with a grain of salt as I am active on a daily basis and hike quite a bit. The way out on the other hand will challenge you. Prepare by bringing enough water and take your time if you need to. We were fortunate enough to have a constant breeze. The way out proves more challenging as it is a steady climb up.

Note to self: Bring a bikini!

How did you celebrate Earth Day this year? Glad to say I made the time to get out! Spending time in the great out doors is so refreshing to me. I am such a home body and need constant re-grounding. So I could not think of a better way then a hike to celebrate our magnificent planet.
