Finding the Balance in Love
Anahata, essentially, is an invitation to come home to yourself. By continuously redirecting thoughts and feelings of grief, anger, sadness, and avoidance to acceptance, compassion, forgiveness, and kindness to our own being, we begin a journey of healing deep wounds. Leaving us with a solid center from which we radiate joy and practice generosity. But it starts with us first.
“In order to develop love – universal love, comic love, whatever you would like to call it – one must accept the whole situation of life as it is, both the light and the dark, the good and the bad.” – Chogyam Trungpa
By giving yourself the time to dive deep with Anodea Judith, you have taken some major steps in the direction of self-love and care. I myself tread on this road for the second time around and I am incredibly PROUD of every single one of you brave souls, as this is no small feat.
Once again, as this month concludes, I leave you with a yoga flow geared to bring balance into your heart center. Anahata Yoga Flow is filled with poses that expand the breath, open the chest, engage the shoulder blades, ribs, heart, and respiratory system. Enjoy! Report back with how it made you feel.
