Your Chart – Human Design 101

Pulling back the curtain to reveal the mystery and science behind this incredibly practical and helpful system.

Ever wonder how Human Design works, how it knows you so intimately?

I’m going to pull back the curtain and reveal the mystery and science behind this incredibly practical and helpful system.

It all starts with your Human Design chart. Your chart is a map that describes how your energy is designed to flow so that you can live out your purpose.

Your Human Design Chart is a combination of Astrology, the I-Ching, Kabbalah and Chakras

So how is your chart computed? In order to get your chart, Human Design takes two snapshots of the sky. The first (found under the Personality column), the moment your entire body is birthed, and the second (the Design column), three months before you’re born. It then synthesizes this information using four ancient modalities; astrology, I-Ching, Chakras, and the Kabbalah.

Here’s how:

The two snapshots show a very specific placement of the planets, the moon, it’s North & South Nodes, and Pluto (the Astrology influence) and map it on the 64 themes of life, called the I-Ching aka gates/gifts (the numbers in your chart).

Following along?

These numbers are then plugged into their corresponding centers (the Chakras). When a number connects with another number, they create what’s called a channel. These channels (there’s 36 of them and they refer to the Kabbalah) represent flow of energy in your chart and create the color (aka definition) in your centers.

All of this in your chart (everything that is colored in) represents your True SelfThese are your strengths, gifts, talents, and aptitudes. It’s what you can count on over and over again.

The defined centers determine your Energy Type, which informs your strategy and authority.

There are five Energy Types in Human Design; Manifestors, Projectors, Reflectors, Manifesting Generators and Generators. Within each group there are differences. It all comes back to the centers; which ones are colored in and their relationship with each another.

I’ll go into the Five Energy Types next.
